Hi! This is a static copy of the larpresume site (geeky shout-out to the command 'wget' for making this easy!). We had to move webhosts and I'm working in the background to try and get the site back up and functioning. Until then, you'll be able to read what's already here but won't be able to edit anything.

If you want to see where I'm at with getting the dynamic/live site up and running, feel free to take a look at live.larpresume.boldlygoingnowhere.org .

Larp: G.I. Joe: Orbit

Description

by Suzanne Wayner, Jeannie Whited, Paul Wayner

G.I. Joe is the codename for American's daring, highly trained special mission force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra - a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world.

Space. The Final Frontier. G.I. Joe is looking for a few good men - and women - to prove they have the right stuff. It's only a matter of time before Cobra makes a bid for space supremacy. G.I. Joe must be there to stop them.

This game is based on the 1980s TV cartoon in all its poorly animated and ridiculously plotted glory - including the unique grasp of astrophysics displayed in the many space-themed episodes. (Hey, the Space Shuttle program was in its glory years, you know!) Knowledge of the show will help you enjoy the game to its fullest, but is not required. Please note we have listed some characters that are male in the show as "neutral" to give more women a chance to play. Women may be asked to cross the gender line to play male characters without romantic entanglements. Players will be asked to play multiple characters, either as "horde" or for a short time while their primary character is "off screen."
